    Body functionality appreciation task

In this exercise, take some time to reflect on and describe in detail what your body can do in the areas listed below. This is a free-writing task, so focus on the positive functions and abilities of your body and why they are important to you. Aim to write for at least 5 minutes without stopping. You can use bullet points if that’s easier. Don’t worry about spelling or grammar—there are no right or wrong answers. Once you’re finished, read over what you’ve written. This exercise is for your personal reflection and to help you appreciate your body’s capabilities.

    Exercise 1:

Write below what your body can do in terms of senses and sensations and physical activity and movement (look at the list in the information tab for examples of functions related to each of these areas)

    Exercise 2:

Write below what your body can do in terms of health and fun/creativity (look at the list in the information tab for examples of functions related to each of these areas)

    Exercise 3:

Write below what your body can do in terms of self-care/daily routines and relationships and communication (look at the list in the information tab for examples of functions related to each of these areas)
